2020 was the year of Covid and filled with much darkness for most of the world. When the vaccine was announced, I saw our world being filled with sunshine. The light was coming in after a period of darkness. In this painting, the sun is shinning and the world is bright.
I have traditionally painted one or two yellow paintings yearly to celebrate the Summer Solstice. This nature abstraction also celebrates the sun which has always held a very special meaning for me, both metaphorically and physically. And, I love living in the Sunshine State- Florida!
