As a colorist, I love the fusion of metallic paints with color. I have experimented extensively and have concluded that in Phase One, my work in metallic paints will be executed in two subseries, "more is more" ("MM") and "less is more" ("LM"). "MM" will consist of my "splashes, symbols, and marks" painted over a metallic colorfield, and "LM" will consist of single symbols (of various types) painted over a corrugated colorfield.
"MM," will allow me to paint monochromatic color over a colorfield with emphasis on abstractly depicting places, thoughts, and moments of relevance to me and my life. As an example, ‪METALLICA (Qatari Series) depicts the regal, royal nature I so vividly experienced in both institutional and private settings when I was in Doha, Qatar a dozen years ago.
